Berkeley Readies For Annual Carnival
The event will feature games, food and outdoor activities including water slides, a climbing wall and an obstacle course.
BERKELEY, CA — The city of Berkeley later this week will hold one of its most popular community events for children.
The Community Carnival and Picnic will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at Grove Park (1730 Oregon Street).
The summer kickoff event will feature games, food and outdoor activities including water slides, a climbing wall and an obstacle course.

The event will also feature carnival games, a petting zoo with bunnies and goats, and a special zone for toddlers.
“They’ll get fed, too,” city officials said of the event.

“Burgers will be served by Fuddruckers. And we’re already anticipating the lines for ice cream, popcorn, shaved ice, and cotton candy. Those age 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
