Cal Football Announces 2012 Schedule
Back on home turf with a renovated Memorial Stadium, Cal will play its arch-rival Stanford right here in Berkeley on Oct. 20. The season begins Sep. 1.
The Cal Football schedule for 2012 includes a number of highly anticipated games at the renewed Memorial Stadium. Visit the Cal Football website for more information, tickets and scores when the season starts Sep. 1.
As the Berkeley Daily Planet points out, the big game with Stanford on Oct. 20 takes place a "whopping four conference games before the end of the season." The alternative, apparently, was a Thanksgiving weekend game — which neither team was too keen about.
