Meet our Program Director, Ella Levine! Ella's journey in math education began in her childhood, where she closely worked with her grandfather, a math professor in Russia. She earned multiple awards at math Olympiads during her high school years. In 2007, she moved to Paris, where she studied French, Russian, and American teaching methods and curricula in mathematics. This research allowed her to develop her own techniques for teaching math to children. In 2011, she founded Firecracker Math, which has since expanded throughout the Bay Area and online at our sites and Partner Schools.

We provide extracurricular math programs that introduce kids ages 6 to 16 to advanced topics such as number theory, geometry, combinatorics, and probability. Our focus is on developing problem-solving and logical thinking skills. Lessons include hands-on activities to engage and inspire young mathematicians.
