On January 29th at 2 am, three female UC Berkeley students were walking home when they realized a car was following them (Ridge Road/Euclid Avenue area). The women saw the car drive past them several times and noticed the car make U-turns and drive around the block in order to keep following them. Concerned for their safety, the women ran home. From inside their home, the women saw that the same car parked in front of their home and remained there for 1-2 hours.
On the night of January 31st, the women saw the same car circling their neighborhood and called the police. When officers arrived, they found the car (a gray Honda Civic) parked on the same block where the women lived and contacted the driver/suspect. During the encounter, the suspect made several peculiar comments about how the University area was full of women who want him. After speaking with the driver, officers left the man and reported the incident to detectives.
