East Bay Festival To Impact Local Traffic

A main road in the East Bay will be closed to accommodate a festival happening Sunday.

BERKELEY, CA — Solano Avenue will be closed Sunday for the Solano Avenue Stroll, and traffic will be impacted, the Berkeley Police Department announced Friday.

The street closure will start at approximately 7 a.m. and end at 7 p.m., according to police. During that time, no through traffic will be permitted.

AC Transit will be re-routed to Marin Avenue from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Berkeley Police Department recommends taking public transit to the festival, if planning to attend. On Sunday, a free shuttle will run from the North Berkeley BART station to Marin Avenue between 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
