BERKELEY, CA — City residents and visitors have two more opportunities this month to watch family-friendly movies in local parks, the City of Berkeley announced Wednesday.

This Friday, families can head to Willard Park to take in "Wicked," with a movie start time of 7:40 p.m.
The park's address is 2720 Hillegass Ave.

Next Friday (Sept. 12), watch Riley, Joy and other emotions in "Inside Out 2." This movie will be shown in Codornices Park, with a 7:30 p.m. start time. The park's address is 1201 Euclid Ave.

The free movie series, which began in June, features a large 20-foot by 12-foot inflatable movie screen that is set up in each designated park location.

City officials recommend getting to each park at least 30 minutes early and bringing blankets and sleeping bags to stay warm. Low-back beach chairs with seats no higher than nine inches off the ground are welcome.

People might also want to have a flashlight or headlamp to make “walking out at the end of the night easier,” officials said.

Public transit, biking or walking to the parks is encouraged, as parking is limited.
