The 2024 summer meals program includes breakfast and lunch.
BERKELEY, CA — For Berkeley families who are food insecure, the Berkeley Unified School District is offering reassurance for the summer months.
The district is participating in the federally funded Seamless Summer Option of the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.
"Under the SSO, nutritious meals are provided free of charge to all students 18 years and younger at each of the following schools," the district announced. "These school sites will be open for all students 18 years and younger free of charge; you do not need to be enrolled in Berkeley schools to participate in summer free meal program."

If you need more information including ADA accommodations, contact the district's Director of Nutrition Services Bonnie Christensen at 510-644-6200
