Man Stalked Women, Attempted Sexual Assault At University Village: Police

An attempted sexual assault occurred Tuesday night on UC Berkeley property, according to police.

ALBANY, CA — A man was reported to be stalking women and tried to commit sexual assault Tuesday night at University Village in Albany, according to police.

The University of California Police Department received a call around 11 p.m. from another agency that was reporting a man stalking women on UC Berkeley property at University Village, authorities said. Responding officers determined an attempted sexual assault occurred between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on the path between Eighth and 10th streets near the baseball fields, according to police.

Officers could not find the man, but police requested anyone with information about the incident call 510-642-6760, authorities said.
