Red Flag Warnings Issued For East Bay Hills
The National Weather Service warning will be in effect from Tuesday night until Wednesday afternoon, Berkeley officials said.
BERKELEY, CA — The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag warning for the East Bay Hills from Tuesday night into Wednesday afternoon.
The Berkeley Fire Department requested a forecast specifically for conditions in the Berkeley hills because the East Bay Hills region includes a wide area outside of Berkeley.
This "spot" forecast does not predict red flag conditions for the Berkeley hills.

Additionally, PG&E is planning a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) in areas throughout
Northern California, including some parts of Alameda County, but the utility has not advised that Berkeley will be included in this shutoff area.
