BERKELEY, CA — A strong-arm robbery was attempted Friday morning in downtown Berkeley, University of California police said. At approximately 6:25 a.m., a thin, medium-complexion black man in his mid-20s attempted to take the property of a 58-year-old man in front of 2190 Shattuck Ave. The suspect was reportedly wearing a blue or gray shirt.The suspect did not succeed and fled the scene.
