Volunteers Sought For Berkeley Meal Delivery Program For Seniors

The city's Meals on Wheels program needs volunteers to help pack and deliver meals.

BERKELEY, CA — The city of Berkeley is encouraging anyone who can to lend a hand in support of a meal delivery program for homebound seniors.

Berkeley's Meals on Wheels program delivers to seniors citywide, and the program needs volunteers to help pack and deliver meals.

Shifts are available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

“Help Meals on Wheels,” city officials said in a news release.

“An hour of driving in Berkeley can deliver meals to 8-15 families while building connections with community members.”

Deliveries can also be made on foot or bicycle.
