West Berkeley Shooting Probed: Report

The victim, believed to be between 18 and 25, was hospitalized with gunshot wounds and is expected to survive, Berkeleyside reports.

BERKELEY, CA — A man was hospitalized with gunshot wounds Monday, Berkeleyside reports.

The victim, who is believed to be between 18 and 25 years old, was taken to Highland Hospital and is expected to survive, Berkeley police said, according to the report.

Officers at around 5:30 p.m. responded to reports of gunfire in the area of Sixth Street and Channing Way and found the injured victim upon arrival, the report said.

Witnesses told police the gunshot followed an argument near LifeLong West Berkeley Health Center, the report said.
