40 MPH Winds May Hit Beverly Hills Area: NWS

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Beverly Hills through Thursday afternoon.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Beverly Hills will see gusty winds Thursday, according to the National Weather Service for Los Angeles and Oxnard.

The city will see winds between 15 and 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 40 miles per hour, according to NWS. The advisory started Tuesday at 10 p.m. and is expected to last through 12 p.m. Thursday.

Residents are advised to secure outdoor objects and be extra careful while driving, according to NWS. Drivers should be cautious on the State Route 101 (Ventura Freeway) and State Route 1 (Pacific Coast Highway).

The winds could also result in power outages in Beverly Hills and around Los Angeles.

The Santa Ana wind event will affect nearly all of Los Angeles and Orange counties, according to NWS.
