6 Beverly Hills Students Win Countywide Art Awards (Photos)
Six Hawthorne Elementary School students took home awards at a county-wide competition. Check out the artwork that was recognized.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Six Hawthorne Elementary School students took home awards at a county-wide art competition, according to the Beverly Hills Unified School District.
One student received an honorable mention and five others placed in first, second and third place, according to BHUSD. The students who placed will move their art on to a bigger competition — the Southern California Area Competition. Both competitions are sponsored by the California Art Education Association as part of their Youth Art Month.
The competition included art by students between kindergarten and 12th grade at 10 participating local schools: West Ranch High School, The Buckley School, Graphic Non-Violence, Hawthorne Elementary, Ramona Convent School, St. Mary’s Academy, Los Altos High School, Cactus Magnet, Sherman Oaks Elementary and AE Wright Middle School.
