The dancers will perform a range of pieces and styles. 10th grade Beverly Hills High student Willa Cross will perform in George Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco. This quintessential Balanchine ballet was first performed in 1941, and was also one of the three ballets presented at New York City Ballet’s first performance. Willa will also perform Classical Symphony by Westside founder Yvonne Mounsey, Contemporary, and Jazz.

Sisters Elle and Jenne Shim attend Marlborough School and will both dance in the production. Both sisters will dance in Murmuration, a contemporary piece that is in collaboration with Santa Monica College as well as the Jazz piece. Additionally Elle will dance the Lilac Fairy Attendants from The Sleeping Beauty. This will be Elle’s 6th Spring Performance with Westside. She says about her experience in Ballet, “All the hours spent in the studio rehearsing, making mistakes, learning new things, and building artistry, are worth it once I’m on stage. Being on stage allows me to have fun and fully express myself, and I love every second of it.”

ABT stars Boylston and Whiteside will perform the Black Swan Pas de Deux. The Gala is honoring legendary American ballerina Patricia Neary of the New York City Ballet. These shows are not to be missed!

The performance will be held at The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica.
