Beverly Hills Bakery Lands on PETA's Top Vegan Desserts List

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Chaumont Vegan, a French bakery in Beverly Hills, landed on PETA's top 10 vegan desserts in America list for its vegan cakes.

PETA's list considered vegan dessert-shops around the country and only two California bakeries made top spots: Chaumont and Jalen's Bakery in Fresno.

Chaumont's vegan chocolate cake got a special mention, made with the bakery's house-made vegan butter. The cake is perfect for a vegan Valentine's Day, PETA said.

“Chaumont Vegan’s Chocolate Cake is as kind to hens and cows as it is choc-full of decadent flavor,” PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman said in a news release.

Chaumont serves sweet and savory baked goods including, cookies, flavored croissants, sourdough loafs, danishes and cookies. Their homemade vegan butter comes in different flavors including vanilla, fig and sun-dried tomato.

The vegan food industry has been growing quickly for years and is only picking up, according to PETA.
