Beverly Hills Considers Permanent Bike Lanes On Roxbury Drive

Temporary bike lanes on Roxbury Drive could become permanent — and the city wants to hear your thoughts.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Following a one-year trial installation of bike lanes on Roxbury Drive, city officials are considering whether to permanently make the thoroughfare a multi-modal street.

The pilot project, approved in fall 2021, saw the installation of a southbound parking-protected bike lane and northbound conventional bike lane on Roxbury Drive. The passageways connected to other bike lanes in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills and were identified as high priority in the city's previously adopted Complete Streets Plan, according to city officials.

Now, city leaders are evaluating how that trial run went and exploring options for transitioning the lanes into a permanent street feature.
