Beverly Hills Firefighters Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month

They're looking a little "in the pink" these days.

From a press release:

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same.

The Beverly Hills Fire Department along with the Beverly Hills Firefighters’ Association have chosen to get involved by wearing a special pink uniform t-shirt during the month of October. They will also be selling a limited number of these special shirts to the public with the proceeds going to the Tower Cancer Research Foundation.

If you would like to purchase one of these very limited shirts, you can stop by BHFD Station 1 at 445 North Rexford Drive, Beverly Hills. The fundraising price per shirt is $20.00. Email requests are accepted at info@beverlyhillsfire.com, and by phone at (310) 278-1565.
