Beverly Hills To Host British Music Hall Sing-Along

"Next week's Sing-Along is another in a series of concerts in which we literally have a chance to make music together," Mayor Mirisch said.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — The City of Beverly Hills is hosting a British Music Hall Sing-Along on Wednesday, June 19 at 7 p.m. The event will feature Mayor John Mirisch and Master of Ceremonies Andrew Abelson, along with special guest performances by Nigel Daly OBE and Becky Baeling-Lythgoe.

The City's community sing-alongs are part of Mayor Mirisch's initiative to promote arts and culture in Beverly Hills.

"Arts and culture not only bring us together as a community — particularly important in these divisive times — but they also enrich our lives in so many ways," Mirisch told Patch. "Next week’s Sing-Along is another in a series of concerts in which we literally have a chance to make music together."

Beverly Hills residents and visitors "will be in for an evening of rollicking fun, in the best tradition of the British Music Hall," he said. Those who are unfamiliar with British Music Hall will be introduced to a form of entertainment that was an important part of British culture over many decades, he said.

British Music Hall was both influenced, and influenced by, American vaudeville, according to Mirisch.
