Beverly Hills Police Launch New Mobile App

Residents can submit anonymous tips about crimes, or potential crimes through the app.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — The Beverly Hills Police Department launched a new, free mobile app to provide the public greater access to BHPD, Chief of Police Sandra Spagnoli announced Thursday.

"The new app is an innovative approach to help the Beverly Hills citizens, businesses, and visitors stay tuned to important news and resources from the police department," the City of Beverly Hills said. "After downloading the app onto your smartphone or tablet, you can receive important and timely alerts and notifications from the Beverly Hills Police Department."

One of the app’s key features is "Submit a Tip," which allows residents to submit anonymous tips about crimes, or potential crimes occurring that affect the Beverly Hills community. Users are also able to submit a photo with the tip, the press release said.
