Beverly Hills Power Outage Affects 165 Residents: SCE

Over 100 Beverly Hills residents lost power Tuesday morning.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Some 165 Beverly Hills residents lost power Tuesday morning.

Power went out around 7:53 a.m. Tuesday, according to Southern California Edison. A field investigator was determining the cause of the outage as of 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. The outage was centered on Lexington Road between North Roxbury Drive and Benedict Canyon Drive.

Residents have become increasingly frustrated about the frequency of recent power outages in the city, according to Mayor Lili Bosse. Residents in Trousdale have reported 17 outages in the last two years, a number that seems unacceptable to the council. SCE visited the council in August but frustration has only continued to build.
