Beverly Hills Sign Among Top Google Searches For Scenic Spots

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Beverly Hills was among the most searched scenic spots on Google Maps in 2022, according to end of year data released by the search engine giant.

The Beverly Hills sign was the ninth most searched scenic spot in the United States in 2022, according to Google Trends data.

The sign was one of three California spots to hit the top 10, including Glacier Point in Yosemite Valley and Golden Gate View Point overlooking San Francisco.

The term "Beverly Hills sign" proved most popular during the week of August 14, and was most often searched in tandem with the search terms "Hollywood," "Hollywood Sign," "Beverly Hills Hotel," "Hollywood Walk of Fame" and "Rodeo Drive.

In the greater Los Angeles area, the "near me" search for the year was "gas prices," a search term that more than doubled since 2021. "Remote Jobs," "cheapest gas," "plasma donation" and "pilates" were all popular "near me" search terms for the area.

"Arepas" was Los Angeles' top trending recipe, and "rap" was the areas top searched music genre.
