Burberry Is the Latest Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award Winner
Burberry will be honored with a permanent bronze plaque in the sidewalk of the world- renowned street.

The city of Beverly Hills and the Rodeo Drive Committee announced today that Burberry, the iconic British luxury brand, would be honored with the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award on Nov. 19 in Beverly Hills.
The award celebrates style legends for contributions to the worlds of fashion and entertainment. Burberry will be the 20-second honoree.

Burberry will be honored with a permanent bronze plaque in the sidewalk of the world-
renowned street that will feature the Burberry core values, ”Protect. Explore. Inspire,” as well as the signature of the company’s founder Thomas Burberry. Burberry Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Bailey will be accepting the award on behalf of Burberry at the ceremony in Los Angeles.
The coveted award, inaugurated in 2003, has been presented to many notable figures in the fashion community with recipients including, Giorgio Armani, Tom Ford, Gianni and Donatella Versace, photographer Mario Testino, costume designer Edith Head, and editor Diana Vreeland.

In February 2014, Oscar and Tony Award-winning costume and production designer, Catherine Martin was the twenty-first recipient of the on-going award.
“Beverly Hills is proud to honor Burberry with the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award,” said Beverly Hills Mayor, Lili Bosse. “Burberry is a timeless brand, but they have found the perfect balance of maintaining their distinctive heritage while creating collections that appeal to today’s modern consumer.”
Founded in 1856, Burberry is a global luxury brand with a distinctive British identity. Over the decades, the brand has built a reputation for craftsmanship, innovation and design. Since the invention of gabardine by Thomas Burberry more than 150 years ago, outerwear has been at the core of the business, including the iconic Burberry trench coat.
“Burberry is an iconic brand for revered outerwear and unique designs across the globe,” says Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Selection Committee Chairman Wanda McDaniel. “Burberry is just as influential and relevant in this century, as it was when it began, and not many brands have such a longstanding pedigree. It’s a true testament to Burberry’s quality and style.”
Worn by explorers, aviators, soldiers, athletes and celebrities throughout the years, Burberry has a rich history that crosses generations. Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth, Max Irons, Emma Watson, Sienna Miller, and many other notable British models/actors/artists have featured in Burberry campaigns over the past decade. Keira Knightley, Sandra Bullock, Kate Bosworth, Jennifer Lawrence, Victoria Beckham, Michelle Williams, Miranda Kerr, Ryan Gosling, Andrew Garfield, Domhnall Gleeson and Michael Fassbender, are among those who have graced the red carpet in Burberry designs.
Honorees are selected by an independent committee comprised of media, celebrities, past honorees and academics in the worlds of fashion and entertainment.
