Kim Kardashian Robbed at Gunpoint Inside Paris Hotel Room

Robbers, reportedly dressed as policemen, tied the reality star up and stole $10 million worth of jewelry.

Kim Kardashian West was reportedly shaken up but unharmed after being robbed at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room in the early morning hours Monday local time, according to Buzzfeed News, which cited a spokesperson for the family.

Kardashian West and the rest of the Kardashian clan were in town attending Paris Fashion Week. Upon hearing the news, her husband, Kanye West, abruptly stopped his performance mid-song at the Meadows Festival in Queens.

Kardashian West was tied and locked in the bathroom of her private luxury apartment while the robbers, dressed as police, ransacked the place and stole more than $10 million worth of jewelry, according to the Associated Press. The robbers also took off with her two cell phones.

The robbery took place at the exclusive "No Address Hotel," Hôtel de Pourtalès. The men were able to access her room after threatening the hotel's concierge with a weapon and forcing him to open Kardashian West’s room, according to CNN, who cited French officials.

According to TMZ, Kardashian West was bound and gagged while pleading with the men not to kill her because she has children at home. The robbers were still at large.

The family has since returned home after giving a statement to French police, according to media reports.

Prior to the robbery, Kardashian West had been posting photos on her social media accounts at the Fashion Week events, including some at her hotel. Some social media apps, such as SnapChat, automatically record the location of where the photos or videos were taken. This has been a safety concern for the family, leading them to stage an intervention with youngest daughter Kylie Jenner in an episode of the latest season of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

It's unclear if her social media posts were responsible for the robbers knowing where Kardashian West was staying.
