March For Our Lives Rallies Planned Around Los Angeles County

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA -- Various rallies will be held around Los Angeles County this Saturday as thousands of people will protest gun violence. March For Our Lives events have been announced for Santa Monica, Burbank, Los Angeles, as well as, other cities.

A little more than a week ago, tens of thousands of students across the U.S. walked out of class as part of a nationwide effort to push lawmakers to come up with "common sense gun control" laws. The walkout landed on the one month anniversary of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School that left 17 people dead.

The following events are happening in Los Angeles County:

• Santa Monica at 10:30 a.m. on Montana Boulevard near Kye's restaurant
• Los Angeles at 9 a.m. on 6th and Spring streets
• Burbank at 9 a.m. at Chandler Bike Path
• Long Beach at 10 a.m. at Bixby Park
• Manhattan Beach at 10 a.m. at the Pier
• Pico Rivera at 10 a.m. at El Rancho High School
