Prince Harry And Meghan's Charity Is Delinquent, Can't Raise Funds, Attorney General Says
The Archewell Foundation cannot raise or spend charitable funds while delinquent.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Prince Harry and Meghan’s nonprofit, the Archewell Foundation, is delinquent with California’s Registry of Charities and Fundraisers, according to a notice from Attorney General Rob Bonta.
The foundation failed to submit its required annual reporting, renewal fees or both, the notice said, and it cannot raise or spend charitable funds while delinquent.
“The organization may also be subject to penalties and its registration may be suspended or revoked by the Registry,” according to the notice, dated May 3.

Patch understands that the filing and payment were sent and delivered on time via tracked mail, but that a new check had been mailed as of Monday, with the issue expected to be resolved in a matter of days.
Despite its delinquent status, the couple continued to do work in connection with the foundation during a trip to Nigeria in recent days. They stopped at the Lightway Academy, which receives support from the nonprofit, and attended a mental health summit organized by nonprofit GEANCO, which partners with the foundation. They also visited the charity Giants of Africa, where they unveiled a partnership with the foundation.
