Stolen BHUSD Laptop Recovered From LA Store: LAPD
Over 200 laptops, iPads and iPhones were recovered last week from a Westlake storefront; police say many were stolen.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Police say over 200 laptops and other electronic devices recently found at retail store were likely stolen property, including one computer that belongs to the Beverly Hills Unified School District.
The Los Angeles Police Department on Dec. 13 executed a search warrant at a storefront on the 2000 block of West 6th Street and arrested a woman suspected of receiving stolen property "in relation to retail store theft," the LAPD said in a statement Monday.
Detectives believe many, if not all of the hundreds of items found at the store were taken in burglaries in the LA area, police said.

Among the items recovered were some of the $45,000 worth of camera equipment and a MacBook that were burglarized from a vehicle parked in Echo Park in November. Police tracked down the owner of that property after discovering that the camera had video of a local news reporter saved on it, according to the LAPD.
