BEVERLY HILLS, CA — A suspect in an armed robbery in Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive was quickly arrested following the robbery, Beverly Hills police said.

The robbery happened at around 6:40 p.m. last Wednesday near the intersection of Rodeo Drive and Brighton Way, police said. An armed suspect approached two men walking on the sidewalk with the gun drawn and demanded their wristwatches.

"Fearing for their safety, the victims complied with the suspect's demand," Sgt. Max Subin said. "The suspect then fled eastbound on foot with the stolen property."

The suspect was identified as Kenyon Donester, 22, of Altadena. Detectives were able to track him to Inglewood where Donester was arrested, 18 hours after the robbery. Officers were able to recover one of the victim's watch during a subsequent search, Subin said. The second victim's watch remains outstanding at this time, he said.
