BEVERLY HILLS, CA — The Team Beverly Hills program appointed 50 new members to its 24th class for the 2019-2020 season. The City’s leadership and educational program has been in effect for 23 years, the City of Beverly Hills press release said.

Team Beverly Hills is meant to inform citizens about their local government representatives, departments and programs, community associations and current issues, the City said. It is designed to "create an environment that nurtures and encourages leadership, participation and responsibility by the City's citizenry and to develop and maintain an informed and diversified resource for community involvement and leadership roles," the City press release said.

"We have been offering this program for over 20 years now and it continues to be extremely popular," said Pamela Mottice-Muller, Director of the City’s Office of Resilience. "The City receives a high number of Team Beverly Hills applications each year, making it difficult to select candidates. We had over 80 applications this year and had an amazing pool of resident applicants to choose from. We are excited for the kickoff of our upcoming season."
