Saturday's chefs got incredibly creative with their tenders, offering a range of different types of fried chicken, slathered in creative dipping sauces and gorgeous presentations. Some went sweet, like Arrington who had a chicken and waffles inspired tender with an infused maple-like sauce. Others, like Dinos, offered a kick of heat.
Daring Foods handed out an elate-inspired plant-based chicken tender, with chili and garlic flavors and corn in the fry batter.
Jordan and Josh were the first two people in line for Tender Fest, and they ended up waiting about an hour to finally get in. Jordan surprised her boyfriend Josh with the tickets Saturday morning during his first trip to Los Angeles.
"I love chicken, I love sauce so it's great to be here," Josh said.
If it was up to them, Nobu restaurants or Arrington would have won the competition.
