Brentwood's Retired LAPD Officer Receives Shadowbox

Brentwood Community Council presents retired Senior Lead Officer Philip Enbody with framed shadowbox of his items as an officer, including his original firearm and handcuffs.

The retirement party for Philip Enbody of the Los Angeles Police Department continued in Brentwood Tuesday night.

Current Senior Lead Officer Maria Gray and the Brentwood Community Council presented Enbody with a shadowbox at the start of Tuesday night's regular meeting in the Kaufman branch library.

"It's a tradition when an officer retires to make shadowboxes," Gray said. "It's something that's very much treasured."
