78-Year-Old Missing Man Is Located, CHP Cancel Silver Alert In This Bay Area County

CHP issued a silver alert after the man was last seen Tuesday afternoon.

BURLINGAME, CA — The California Highway Patrol canceled the silver alert for a missing 78-year-old man after he was located Wednesday, police said.

CHP issued a silver alert Tuesday in San Mateo County for Robert Newman who was last seen walking around 3 p.m. in the area of California Drive and Trousdale Drive in Burlingame, police said.

CHP said Newman was wearing a grey shirt and black pants at the time of his disappearance and described him as 5-foot-7, 170 pounds with grey hair and blue eyes.
