PHOTO GALLERY: New School Buildings

New backpacks, new pencils and even new buildings were all part of the first day of school for students at McKinley Elementary and Lincoln Elementary schools. 

New buildings at the two schools were completed in time for the students. The construction was funded by the $48.3 million Measure A bond that was approved in 2007 for school facility renovation and improvement.

"It got a little hectic towards the end but it did finish up," said architect Richard Terrones.
