Friday, September 9

1:51 a.m. A suspicious box with protruding wires was found on the 1100 block of Broadway. It was determined to be a utility box that belonged at the gas station.

12:06 p.m. There was a report of one female hitting another in the arm regarding a dispute over an injury that happened with the female's child on the playground on the 800 block of Howard Avenue.

7:17 p.m. Juveniles were throwing a knife at a wooden fence on the 1500 block of Davis Drive.

3:34 a.m. A resident on the 100 block of Elm Avenue heard someone trying to break into a car. The car was found with its door open, but nothing was missing.

4:25 p.m. There was a citizen in the roadway on the 300 block of Lorton Avenue. The subject was issued a citation.

6:52 p.m. A parent called about an eight-year-old daughter refusing to obey her parents on the 1000 block of Chula Vista Avenue. The police were again contacted to say they were not needed, as the daughter was now obeying.

Sunday, September 11

12:14 a.m. A subject was fishing on the 300 block of Airport Boulevard. He was advised of park hours.

3:17 a.m. A car was reportedly driving in circles and honking its horn on the 200 block of Humboldt Road.

4:25 p.m. There was a report of juveniles drinking beer from bottles on the 1500 block of Balboa Way. Police went to the scene and discovered the kids were only drinking soda from bottles.

5:41 p.m. An intoxicated cyclists fell off his bicycle into the bushes at California Drive and Grove Avenue.
