1 Dead In 101 Freeway Crash In Calabasas
One person died and another two were rescued in a collision on the 101 Freeway in Calabasas Monday night.

CALABASAS, CA — One person died on Monday in a collision on the northbound Ventura (101) Freeway just south of Las Virgenes Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Authorities rescued two other people from the collision around 9:10 p.m. One person died at the scene and another was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, according to LAFD. A third person had minor to no injuries and did not go to the hospital.
The collision occurred on the northbound freeway and prompted a closure of lanes on both sides of the freeway, KTLA reported. Two vehicles were overturned on the other side of the freeway after the crash, according to KTLA.

The crash prompted a Sig Alert for multiple lanes of the freeway into early Tuesday morning, according to KTLA.
