Deputies Visit Will Smith's Calabasas Home For Drone Sighting
Two days after the Oscars, a drone sighting reportedly prompted a visit from law enforcement officers to Will Smith's mansion in Calabasas.

CALABASAS, CA — Two days after the Oscars slap heard around the world, law enforcement officers reportedly paid a visit to Will Smith's mansion in Calabasas for a drone sighting.
Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department were called to the Smiths' mansion around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday after a drone was seeing flying over the property, multiple media outlets reported. Photos showed a law enforcement SUV at the property.
Deputies didn't find the drone, the sheriff’s department told The New York Post. It wasn't immediately clear who called authorities.

“It could have been [the Smiths] or their neighbor,” a spokesperson for the department told The Post.
“We just sent that unit over there to try to locate the drone and see if there was a paparazzi or what was going on, but when the deputies got there, they weren’t able to locate the drone. It had already left the area.”

The visit comes just two days after Will Smith left millions of Academy Awards viewers stunned Sunday when he marched onto the stage of the Dolby Theatre and smacked comedian Chris Rock in the face after Rock cracked a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, who was sitting with her husband in the front row.
The Los Angeles Police Department has said Rock declined to file a police report and that it is not investigating the attack.
