Calabasas Woman to Receive Restitution Payments After Losing Thousands from Check Forgery

A Thousand Oaks woman who forged the checks of an elderly Calabasas woman and stole tens of thousands of dollars from her was sentenced to eight months in jail, five years probation and ordered to pay $955 per month in victim restitution and fines, according to the Thousand Oaks Acorn. 

Sandra Joyce Zbinden, 37, pleaded guilty to forgery from an elder or dependent adult by a caretaker in October, and received her sentence on Nov. 6, according to the report
