Deputies Find Stolen License Plates, Credit Cards After Burglary

After a resident spotted someone checking door handles at multiple residences, deputies found a slew of stolen items.

CALABASAS, CA — Deputies made two arrests related to stolen credit cards, license plates and more on Jan. 30 after a resident spotted a person checking out door handles.

Two people were arrested on multiple charges including identity theft, felon in possession of tear gas and ammunition, fraudulent use of access card, possession of burglary tools and possession of drug paraphernalia.

"Deputies received a call for service on the morning of January 30th, In the City of Calabasas. A caller saw a black Maserati in the neighborhood with a male getting in and out of the vehicle checking door handles," according to the station.

Deputies detained the driver and passenger of the car and ultimately discovered one of the people had an outstanding felony warrant for burglary. Deputies turned over stolen license plates, credit cards, IDs and keys to access postal boxes, according to the station.
