'Organized, Responsible And Very Patient': Calabasas Star Student
As a junior at Calabasas High School, Zachary helps local seniors with technology, especially avoiding online scams.

CALABASAS, CA — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Kimberly Post, who nominated Zachary of Calabasas.

How do you know the star local student?
I am the facility supervisor of the Calabasas Senior Center. Zach has organized a group of students from the local high school to provide regular tech help every Wednesday for seniors at our facility. He also teaches classes to the seniors related to technical issues for example: how to spot fraudulent emails.
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Zach provides a great service to the seniors at the Calabasas Senior Center by willingly assisting them with problems they have with technology and teaching them to operate new iPhones, iPads, laptops, and computers. He has organized other students as well so multiple seniors can be helped at once. Every student helper is non-judgmental and patient and receives personal attention. He is unassuming and humble about his accomplishments and deserves to be recognized.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
Not only is Zach competent technically, but he is organized, responsible and very patient with the seniors who sometimes need things explained more than once.
