Santa Barbara Estate Planning Council announces the election of Justin Anderson, President, and Courtney DeSo
SANTA BARBARA, California – Santa Barbara Estate Planning Council is pleased to announce the recent election of two new leaders.

SANTA BARBARA, California – Santa Barbara Estate Planning Council is pleased to announce the recent election of two new leaders.
Justin Anderson, CFP, CLU, CRC, partner of Santa Barbara-based Channel Wealth, has been elected President. Anderson, who previously served as the Council’s vice president, succeeds Kendra Epley. Courtney DeSoto, J.D., CLPF, NCG, TEP, owner of Channel Islands Fiduciary Group, has been elected Vice President. She succeeds Anderson in this role.
Anderson and DeSoto one-year term begins in January.

Anderson, a UC Santa Barbara graduate, is a partner at Channel Wealth and specializes in comprehensive financial planning and assisting clients who are transitioning assets in retirement, divorce, inheritance, or the sale of business. Anderson is active in the Santa Barbara community, previously serving as an instructor at Santa Barbara City College and currently serving as Treasurer/Finance Committee Chair for MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation.

Courtney DeSoto, J.D., CLPF, NCG, TEP, owner of Channel Islands Fiduciary Group, is a graduate of Westmont College and Santa Barbara College of Law. Before launching her fiduciary group, where she focuses on protecting vulnerable adults, she worked for the County of Santa Barbara and served as Court Investigator for the Santa Barbara Superior Court. DeSoto sits on the board of Santa Barbara Hospice Foundation and, since 2020, has also been on the board of the Santa Barbara Estate Planning Council.

I look forward to serving my fellow estate planning professionals and furthering our strong and vital alliance,” says DeSoto.
