CALABASAS, CA — After prolonged closures, community members can weigh in on the future of the Agoura Hills Calabasas Community Center.

At 6 p.m. Monday, the city of Calabasas' Community Services Department will hold a virtual workshop to inform community members about upcoming roof repairs and receive feedback. The meeting will take place via Zoom. Access the meeting using this link.

The center closed in 2020 due to significant revenue losses amid pandemic closures and necessary outstanding repairs totaling over $1 million, including a roof repair, according to the city of Agoura Hills.

Congressman Ted Lieu and then Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl in 2022 helped secure significant funding to push the center closer to reopening after nearly two years shut. Agoura Hills and Calabasas have also poured significant money into reopening the center.
