1 Killed, 1 Injured In Early Morning San Jose Crash
A man has been arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence following a fatal crash.
SAN JOSE, CA —A man has been arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence following a crash that killed a woman and injured another in San Jose early Wednesday morning, according to police.
The solo-vehicle crash was reported at about 1:50 a.m. in the 800 block of Tully Road, where investigators determined that a 2015 blue Toyota sedan left the roadway and struck a tree, San Jose police said.
The two women who were in the Toyota were taken to a hospital, where one of them succumbed to her injuries. Her name was not immediately available. The second woman is expected to survive, according to police.

The man who was driving the Toyota was treated at the scene for injuries and then was taken into custody on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and DUI. Police have not yet released his identity.
