15 Campbell Nonprofits No Longer Able to File for Tax Exemptions

The IRS announced today that 275,000 nonprofit organizations would no longer be able to file for tax exemptions.

Here's some bad news for local Campbell nonprofits as the IRS announced Wednesday that they were no longer eligible to file for a tax exemption.

The 15 Campbell nonprofit organizations on the list of 275,000 nationwide, including the and the Campbell Community Seniors Inc., were noticed that they did not meet legal requirements to file annual tax forms.

According to the New York Times:

"... the agency believed most of the organizations on the list were defunct, though there was really no way to know because so many of them simply could not be reached."
