SAN JOSE, CA — A man accused of shooting three people outside a San Jose restaurant in 2018 was arrested after homicide detectives chased down new leads in the case last year, police announced Wednesday.

The investigation began with reports of a shooting outside La Victoria Taqueria shortly after 10 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2018. Officers arrived at the restaurant to find three men suffering from gunshot wounds that required hospital care.

Police said witness accounts revealed the victims had been in an argument with two suspects inside the restaurant before the group walked outside and the primary suspect took out a handgun and shot the three men. According to investigators, several bystanders were nearby, and a child was standing next to the shooter.
