21-Year-Old Arrested In Los Gatos Creek Trail Sexual Assaults
Two women reported being attacked from behind and thrown to the ground around the same time, according to San Jose.

SAN JOSE, CA —San Jose police have arrested a man they believe recently sexually assaulted two women on the Los Gatos Creek Trail.
Police took 21-year-old Pablo Chan of Campbell into custody Thursday.
Officers responded Wednesday at 8:54 a.m. to the 1900 block of Willow Street on a report of a sexual assault that just occurred on the trail near Leigh Avenue.

A woman told police she was walking on the trail when she was violently thrown to the ground by a man she didn't know in an unprovoked attack.
The suspect then allegedly began sexually assaulting her. The woman was able to fight back, escape, and call for help, police said.

Responding officers searched the area but didn't locate the suspect, who fled after the assault.
Investigators were then contacted by a second woman who reported a similar encounter on the same trail around the same time. Her description of the attacker was similar to that of the first victim.
Detectives identified the suspect as Chan, who also had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
At 4:24 p.m. Thursday, officers located and arrested Chan outside of a commercial parking lot near Leigh Avenue and De Rose Way.
He was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of felony aggravated kidnapping, sexual assault, and the outstanding warrants.
