Man Jumps From Bedroom Window, Taken Into Custody After Barricade: San Jose Police
People were asked to avoid the area as the investigation continued, police said.
SAN JOSE, CA — A man jumped out a bedroom window Sunday morning after shooting at police and barricading himself inside an apartment in San Jose, authorities said.
Officers responded around 4:30 a.m. to the area of Warring Drive and Calmor Avenue after receiving reports of a man breaking glass and throwing items from an apartment window, according to police.
When law enforcement arrived, the man kept throwing objects out the window and fired at least one round at officers, police said, adding special operations personnel and tactical negotiators were called to the scene.

The man jumped out the window at 9:43 a.m. and was taken into custody, according to police.
