This closure is expected to impact local blood collection at a crucial time.

CAMPBELL, CA — During the summer, the blood supply is limited due to less donations as people travel, and there is expected to be even less as a blood donation center in Campbell announced Wednesday it will temporarily close for renovations, a press release stated.

The Stanford Blood Center announced the South Bay Donation Center located at 295 E. Hamilton Ave in Campbell will close for renovations starting Tuesday.

For the past year, the location has experienced many plumbing issues that have disrupted operation, impacting donors’ experiences.
