California Approves Emergency Fire Resources For Santa Clara County

The California Office of Emergency Services is placing fire resources in high-risk areas across the state as critical fire weather persists.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY — The California Office of Emergency Services is proactively placing fire resources in high-risk areas across the state as critical fire weather persists, the agency announced Tuesday. Cal OES has allotted critical fire engines and personnel across multiple counties to respond to fires, including across the Bay Area.

In Santa Clara County, prepositioned fire resources include:

  • 5 Local Government Engines
  • 1 Local Government Hand Crew
  • 2 Local Government Dispatchers

The Santa Clara County Fire Department said these extra resources consist of crews from the Santa Clara County Fire Department, Milpitas Fire Department, Mountain View Fire Department, San Jose Fire Department, and Santa Clara Fire Department.
