Campbell Police Log: Reckless, Wrong-Way Driver Busted
A look at the Campbell Police Department's crime log for Jan. 3-4.

- DUI: 1:48 a.m. Jan. 3 at East Hamilton Avenue and Creekside, a man was stopped for a vehicle code violation and charged with DUI.
- Auto Burglary: 12:27 p.m. Jan. 3 at 2000 block of South Bascom Avenue, an unknown suspect smashed a car window and stole property.
- Public Intoxication: 7:50 p.m. Jan. 3 at 100 block of Kennedy Avenue, a man was determined to be too drunk to care for himself.
- Reckless Driving: 4 p.m. Jan. 3 at Winchester Boulevard and Division Street, a man was observed driving at a very high rate of speed on the wrong side of the road and failed to yield to emergency vehicles. He was cited and released.
- Bike Theft: 5 p.m. Jan. 3 at 300 block Dunster Drive, a mountain bike is stolen.
- Residential Burglary: 4 p.m. Jan. 3 at 1500 More Ave., an unknown suspect smashed a window and made entry to steal property.
- Residential Burglary: No time give Dec. 24-Jan. 2 at 200 block Virginia Avenue, property was stolen from a home.
- Vandalism: 2:13 p.m. Jan. 3 at 500 block Millich Drive, an unknown suspect spray painted graffiti all over baseball field structures.
- Residential Burglary: Dec. 25-Jan. 3 at 900 block Harrison Avenue, an unknown suspect gained entry into a residence and removed property.
- Auto Theft: Dec. 23-26 at 2500 block of So. Winchester Boulevard, an unknown suspect removed a rear license plate from a Ford Expedition.
- Outstanding Warrant: 1 p.m. Jan. 3 at 2300 block of So. Winchester Boulevard, a man was contacted and found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
- Identity Theft: 8:11 p.m. Jan. 3 at 700 block of E. McGlincy Lane, an unknown suspect used a person's social security number.
- Auto Burglary: 3:26 a.m. Jan. 4 at 1400 block of Arroyo Seco, a woman interrupted a burglar as he was trying to break into her vehicle.
- Possession: 11:26 p.m. Jan. 4 at So. Bascom and Union avenues, a man was stopped for a vehicle code violation and was determined to be driving on a suspended license and on probation. He was also in possession of meth, a pipe, stolen credit cards and under the influence.
- Commercial Burglary: 5:15 p.m. Jan. 4 at 3400 block of Bascom Avenue, two men entered a business and as one of them distracted the clerk the other stole her cell phone and car keys.
- Theft: 9:50 p.m. Jan. 4 at 1800 block of So. Bascom Ave., a man left his cell phone inside the theater. When he realized it was missing he checked the activity and found that someone was using it and he deactivated the service.
- Arrest: 6:49 p.m. Jan. 4 at 1200 block of W. Hacienda Ave., two men were contacted at their residence and taken into custody.
- Auto Vandalism: 11 p.m. Jan. 4 at 1700 block of Regina Way, an unknown suspect punctured all four tires of a car before breaking its windshield.
- Commercial Vandalism: 5 p.m. Jan. 4 at 2500 block of So. Winchester Boulevard, an unknown suspect broke a business' window.
