Campbell Police Needs Help Finding Attempted Murder Suspect

The suspect, who has known gang associations, frequents the area of Williamsburg Drive in San Jose.

Campbell Police have identified a second suspect in an attempted murder as Miguel Capetillo.
The incident occurred Feb. 17 at approximately 7:30 p.m. at 555 Nido Dr. when an altercation with several individuals left one man stabbed several times.
"Although the suspects fled the scene, Campbell Police had apprehended the first suspect within four to five days later," Campbell Police Sgt. Gary Berg said.
Police took witness testimony and evidence and was able to identify the second suspect in the stabbing as Capetillo.
Capetillo has known gang associations and frequents the area of Williamsburg Drive in San Jose. He is described as 5'4, 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
"We know he's around," Berg said. "San Jose Police got into a foot pursuit a few weeks back but were unable to apprehend him."
Campbell Police is working with San Jose Police and other agencies because of the gang ties and gravity of the case.
"There's no boundaries with gang-related crimes," he said.

Capetillo is considered armed and dangerous and Berg said that if someone spots him to call either Campbell Police or dial 9-1-1.

Those with any information are asked to contact Campbell Police Investigations Unit at 408-866-2101 or anonymously through Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers at 408-947-7867 or online at http://svcrimestoppers.org.
